The Journey: Month Six

Aunt Missy came to visit us the first week in June 2015 and we loved showing her around the malls, pool, golf club, restaurants and grocery stores. Lillian showed off all her tricks like sitting up by herself, playing in the jumperoo, grabbing her toys, laughing, eating her toes, and blowing bubbles.
She went to her first birthday party, Eva's first birthday, on June 6th. We took family pictures (for her 6 months) in the park early in the morning when the sun was first coming up to try and avoid the heat. She started standing in her walker and getting some exercise for those chubby little legs. She finally rolled from tummy to back for the first time on June 23rd at a playdate. She loves looking at the clock in our room and already trying to get food off of our plates.She is starting to play more by herself in the carseat and in her crib. Lillian loves to stand up and tries to pull up every time I touch her hands. I have enjoyed her big wet kisses as she grabs both sides of my face and plants it on me! She also started to reject her paci when she wakes up in the middle of the night and only wants to eat.
On July 3rd, we tried solid foods for the first time with sweet potatoes and she loved them! We took her to the 6 month checkup on July 4th where she got vaccinations. But she did fine so we took her swimming at the golf club and enjoyed a nice dinner afterwards. She weighed 8.4 kg (18.5 pounds) and measured 69 centimeters (27 inches) at 6 months.
