19 months

I know every parent says it, but Lillian is so smart, haha!! at 19.5 months now, she knows her colors, counts to 10, sings the ABC's, knows her basic shapes, knows almost every animal by the picture as well as what animal/object that every letter stands for (thanks to flashcards)! She also knows that she lives on 42 (42nd floor in our building, and thus will push the elevator button).
She impresses us all the time by repeating something that we have only told her once, her memory is outstanding!! She makes me laugh everyday, the things she says are so funny. And she also has a temper tantrum everyday, so there's that.
At her 18 month checkup she weighed 11.5 kg (25.3 lbs) and was 83 cm (32.7 inches) tall. I hope she hasn't grown much since then, but she likes to stand on the scale at home and she has weighed about 25.5 pounds lately. She wears 18-24 month clothes mostly. Her legs are long so she can wear 2T or 24 month leggings but can fit in some 12 and 18 month onesies as her torso is not very long.
Lillian talks constantly, and will often repeat something over and over until you acknowledge her. She is starting to form sentences and it's very impressive. She loves to refer to everything as "dis one" when she doesn't know the name. She also says "no" or "ok" to everything I ask her, as yes is not yet in her vocabulary. She loves shoes, and says "no shoes inside" as we walk in the door. She also helps Daddy put away his shoes everyday when he walks in the door. She has said "oh no Mommy go" (or daddy or Sol) for the last month whenever she is by herself. She wants someone in the room with her at all times and will immediately run after you whenever anyone leaves the room.
She is constantly getting new toys all the time (spoiled only child)! So she loves the train track, coloring with crayons or chalk, making shapes with cookie cutters and play-doh, throwing and catching bouncy balls, taking care of her baby dolls, building houses for her animals with the blocks, playing tea party, and dancing to barney songs! She still LOVES story time with daddy before bed, although she has trouble staying still enough for a book and likes to, instead, organize and rearrange her books around the room, haha!
We have really gotten rid of the stroller as she prefers to walk through the malls and anywhere we go. Such a big girl now, as she likes to push the elevator buttons and buckle her car seat on her own. And she calls herself a big girl when we tell her that she can eat her cereal by herself and keep her paci in her crib after sleeps. She can finally sit still for a movie and wants to watch Finding Nemo and Little Mermaid on repeat. So, of course, she also recognizes the characters in the toy stores and wants everything! She still likes watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Paw Patrol and Bubble Guppies on the weekends, but will get bored and ask to "watch mermaid".

18 months

I am trying to keep up with the monthly posts because it helps me remember what all she can do at this age! And the time is flying by so fast that I know I will forget this fun time if I don't document. However, I updated most of the 18 month progress in the 19 month post so I will just save this one for pictures, enjoy!

17 months

Lillian weighs about 25 pounds now, in size 4 diaper and wears mostly 18 month clothes. She sleeps about 12 hours each night and takes almost a 2 hour nap around 1pm. Her hair is getting longer, so we have to pull it back everyday so it is not constantly in her eyes. It is still straight and blonde as can be, but Mommy gets excited when it curls up after she comes homes from the park with a sweaty head!
She talks so much, as will repeat almost anything that I tell her to! We got really excited this month as she finally started saying her name. Now she says "yil-yian" over and over when she wants to do something herself (like put on her shoes or eat her cereal) without mommy's help.
In a typical day, she wakes up around 9 (because she plays in bed until about 9:30 every night) and immediately says cat, mommy, milk and cereal. Eating is her main priority! Then she sees her toys after eating and wants to play tea party ("tea ta bo"), "blocks", "sit down" to "color" or do "that" (play-doh). She says yellow, green, and blue but not necessarily at the right color. She wants to color her favorite characters like Elmo, Mr. Grouper, "bluh bluh bluh" for fish, and "bubble" for bubble guppies. She also wants Mommy to draw for her a cat, dog, sheep or Elmo. I absolutely love how she says her p's in a quiet whisper. She says it for sheep, soap, dip, up, open and cup. She also loves to beg loudly to play something and then decide 2 minutes after dumping it all out that she wants to "keen up". Soon after breakfast is snacktime when she asks for  "mo saks" (more snacks) like "nana" (banana) "bu berr" (blueberry) "aap uhl" (apple) "pea buh er" (peanut butter) "ooky" (cookie). She eats 3 meals a day and plenty of snacks in between. We currently go to Kindermusik class on Sunday mornings, various playdates on Mondays, Sing and Sign class on Tuesdays and Swim lessons on Wednesdays. In the afternoons, her nanny takes her for walks outside in the park. When they get home we eat dinner, take a bath, read books with daddy then sing songs and go to bed. She is obsessed with her stuffed animals Cat and Elmo and needs to know where they are at all day long.
She also has learned a lot of sign language from our classes. She will sign: open, eat, thank you, please, home, sign, more, sorry, rabbit, bird, duck, red or others i cannot think of.
She is growing and learning so much everyday, it blows my mind when I see pictures of her from just a few months ago!
