It is the last month of the year, I cannot believe this year has flown by (especially the last 9 months)! We have now been in Abu Dhabi for 7 months and it has definitely gone by fast as we wait for the little princess' arrival!
I was quite surprised with all the Christmas decorations that are up around the city, I really didn't expect it at all. We tried to go to all the little Christmas markets around town that have vendors selling lots of different gifts. We also tried to get out to eat and go to the movies more, since I know this is something we need to take advantage of now before the little baby comes.
Jason had a conference in early December in Dubai, so we took advantage of the opportunity for a quick get away to stay in a hotel, eat out and get some shopping done. It was a lot of fun, but I think I definitely put on some pregnancy pounds with the yummy food and drinks we indulged in.
Christmas was pretty quiet around here. I enjoyed having Jason home from work for 4 days in a row. So I did a lot of cooking, we caught up on some reading and movie watching, and just took it easy. We also enjoyed our peaceful holiday, knowing that it will never be the same again starting with an almost one year old next Christmas. Something to look forward to indeed!
Same for New Years, as we enjoyed some time relaxing at home and watching the fireworks from our apartment. 2014 has been an incredible year with so much change, but we look forward to 2015 and the great adventure we will have as we expand our little family!!
